asked them to cancel an order literally…

asked them to cancel an order literally 2 min after ordering since i found the same model on amazon for $20 cheaper. they instead shipped it out and told me to return at my own expense. most companies offer free returns and free cancellations. absolutely dumb how there’s no cancellation button on their website.

Terrible Customer Service

I emailed them twice to enquire about the functions of the Bissell crosswave, asking if it did indeed act as a standalone hoover/carpet cleaner and hard floor cleaner before purchasing the product. I received a clear reply stating that if I wanted to use it just as a hoover then not to add water to the tank. I ordered it, waited five days for it to arrive only to discover its not a 3 in 1 its a 2 in 1... It hoover and cleans at the same time, or you can use it on hard floors.. Obviously I don't want soaking wet carpets every time I hoover so I returned it and have now been told they will tell the staff who lied to me to force me into buying the product that there was an issue and get it resolved (sure you will) and now I have to wait up to 30 days for a refund before I have the money to purchase an alternative! ???? Not even any offer to help to replace the device sooner despite the fact my current hoover is broken.... I'm just a source of revenue, not a person, not a customer, just a cash machine.

If i could write no stars i would…

If i could write no stars i would horrible company to do business with . Took my money and claimed it was sent out to my house i never received product . All you get is stupid people claiming they will investigate your problem . I asked for a refund from something i ordered 2 weeks ago . No answer no help DO NOT BUY BISSELL PRODUCTS

3/19/21 Ordered product direct from Bissell. Said will ship that day and they took my money! 4 days later, still not shipped and no idea when? They said will call in 2 days with info. If no call, will cancel 3/25/21. No patience for incompetence. Better to buy at Walmart and take delivery then and there or maybe Amazon. Help...

Excellent customer service!

Purchased a cordless max about 18 months ago. It stopped working and called customer service to see if they could assist me over the phone. Excellent customer support. After diagnosing that the issue could not be fixed. Much to my amazement she said we will send you a new one. Could not ask for better customer support and standing behind their products. Highly recommend this company.

Waste of money

Back in about 2017 I bought a Proheat 2X Revolution. Since then I have used it perhaps 4 or 5 times. It has now developed a problem with the motor and leaves black marks on the carpet if I use it. Unfortunately I've lost my proof of purchase, so Bissell refused to fix it under the 6 year parts guarantee. So I enquired about paying to get it mended only to be told the motor for this model is no longer available. So after 4 years and half a dozen uses, I'm left with a useless piece of junk. I'll NEVER buy a Bissell product again.

Worst customer service!

My grandmother purchased a vacuum and couldn't return it within the purchase year due to covid and they won't even replace the broken vacuum! It does not hold a charge at all and has no use or function. Called customer service for them to offer a 20% discount code... really? That's all? I can find that discount code with a google search. Poor poor customer service. Will not be purchasing from them again.

Pretty good products - but try to get a refund

On, or about December 10, 2020, we received our Bissell floor cleaner which we purchased direct from Bissell Canada. After one use, we determined this product was not for us and requested a return authorization and a refund of the $451.00 we had paid. On December 20, I received approval to return the product, and was told they would send me a prepaid shipping label. After 8 - 10 E-mails, 5 telephone calls, and NINE WEEKS LATER, I finally received my refund on February 14, 2021. I never did receive the shipping label, and in desperation to receive my money back I actually paid the $45.00 return shipping cost myself. In future, I won't walk away from Bissell products, I'LL RUN!!!!

Poor customer service

Bissell is not the company it used to be. I have used Bissell products for many years, but will not do so again. We purchased a carpet shampoo device which had good ratings. I used it once after purchasing it this summer. The second time the carpet shampoo device would not work. I have spent months calling customer service in the Philippines. The customer service rep. Has promised twice a supervisor would call me. The third time the supervisor did call me, but not when promised. The supervisor is named Pia. She told me if I had the receipt or warranty they would resolve the issue. I found the online warranty registration and now she said they can't help me as I registered the wrong product. However, I used their form which had the incorrect product listed and now Pia wants the receipt. The warranty registration states only a receipt is needed if purchased at a store. The unit was purchased online. I have written Pia numerous times expressing my displeasure. No help. I am astonished at how Bissell has run me around as a customer. Another issue is out of U.S. customer service. It is difficult for me to understand their representatives and I don't think they understand me well. Once a good company, but another example of a company that is no longer what it was and it should keep customer service in the U.S. They are absolutely horrible anymore. Do not buy their products. Very frustrating experience. I attached proof the carpet shampoo unit was registered online on 8/18/2020 with the correct serial number. They have the serial number, but the excuse now is that it is the wrong product. I did not list the machine as a 1400W unit. Also, the serial number was correct so they know which product was sold. The customer service person found every reason why not to replace the machine. Also, the warranty document I have posted states that is my proof of purchase. Bissell is not following its own rules for honoring its products. As an attorney I am livid and intend to pursue this matter further.

Messed up twice on online order - the WORST customer service

I actually like Bissell’s vacuums, but unfortunately I will never buy from them again because of their appalling customer service.
Here’s what happened: In November, we bought a Bissell vacuum for $100. We kept getting emails that the vacuum had been sent and arrived, but it took several weeks longer to actually get here. A month and a half later, we finally received a package from Bissell..but it was the wrong vacuum. The model they sent us was about half the price of the one we purchased. We called customer care and they sent us the correct vacuum within days (why did it take so long for it to arrive the first time?) and asked us to return the wrong vacuum, which was a pain to do, but we obviously did.
Fast forward to today. We’ve had our (correct) vacuum for over a month now and have used it often. Today I was checking my bank statements and found a refund for ~$100 from Bissell. Obviously this was a mistake. I decided to do the honest thing and contact Bissell and notify them about the refund. I thought I would get a thank you, but no... a woman informed me that because they couldn’t cancel the refund, I would have to return the vacuum and reorder it again. I explained that it had been used a lot and we didn’t even have the box anymore, but apparently it’s now our responsibility to make sure the vacuum gets back to them. So basically if we want one of their vacuums, we have to start this whole nightmare buying process over again. And it’s not like by us sending back a USED vacuum Bissell is gaining anything from it. You’re telling me that you’re going to make a customer go through all of this trouble just to take back a vacuum that is used, without a box, and totally unsellable and will probably be thrown away? And you think we’re going to order from you again after this nightmare? Forget it. You could have just charged me again but your customer service insisted on doing this the worst way possible. I’m genuinely sad because I LOVED this vacuum. But they just lost a customer forever.
